About this artwork

The Romanesque bell tower of the old parish church of Saint Catherine, consecrated in 1357, rises directly from the waters of Lake Resia at Curon Venosta. The old village was demolished and flooded in 1950 to create the hydroelectric reservoir, and the tower is its only surviving building. At the time of recording the retrieval showed fog at 2.9 degrees with cloud cover of 90 percent.

Every Jason D’s Vision image is an AI-generated artistic interpretation of a real place — original artwork, not a photograph. The label bar on the download may show a creative daylight scenario; that is artistic staging, not a record of a real event.
