Bressanone, known in German as Brixen, is South Tyrol's oldest town and the historic seat of its prince-bishops. Its Baroque cathedral, rebuilt between 1745 and 1754, faces the Piazza del Duomo with twin towers of about sixty five metres. At the time of recording the retrieval showed overcast skies at 7.1 degrees with cloud cover of 100 percent.
