About this artwork
From across the valley, the camera takes in the ghost town of Craco crowding its bare clay spur in the bright 13:23 midday sun. Hundreds of roofless stone shells cascade down the slopes left and right, their empty windows and broken walls glowing pale against the deep blue sky. Below the town, the eroded gullies of the calanchi badlands carve grey ridges through the valley, with distant blue mountains closing the horizon.
Every Jason D’s Vision image is an AI-generated artistic interpretation of a real place — original artwork, not a photograph. The label bar on the download may show a creative daylight scenario; that is artistic staging, not a record of a real event.
