About this artwork

The Arch of Augustus in Fano, built around the year nine BC, was the main gate of Roman Fanum Fortunae, where the Via Flaminia from Rome reached the Adriatic. Its lower order in pale travertine survives, with stretches of the Roman city walls, while the upper storey was destroyed in a fifteenth-century siege. At the retrieval, conditions were light rain showers (WMO code 80), 11.7 degrees, 93 percent cloud cover and a wind of 10.0 kilometres per hour.

Every Jason D’s Vision image is an AI-generated artistic interpretation of a real place — original artwork, not a photograph. The label bar on the download may show a creative daylight scenario; that is artistic staging, not a record of a real event.
